P.S. it's okay if you're a little nervous - honestly, I always am, too! My clients usually settle into the groove of their photo session within 5-10 minutes.
&nbsp;
I, on the other hand, will be making a giant fool of myself throughout our entire session.

Family Photo Session - 30 Min

I heard you're looking for authentic family photos that portray the love (and the teasing, laughter, + sass) between you all!&nbsp; Whether you want to play at a beach, have a paint fight, go for a hike, or build a pillow fort at home, I'm ready to document these moments for you and your family. If you have a vision for this session, I'm all ears. Or maybe you know you want unique, memorable images of you and your littles, but you have no idea what you'd like to do for your session. That's okay! I can toss ideas your way, or we can brainstorm up a session plan that's just right for your family. This package is perfect for families who dread the stock family photos and would much rather bring along the photographer (hi, that's me!) on their next family adventure.

Here’s what I like to tell my clients:

When there’s a space, fill it.

*Ironically, I don’t believe I mentioned this to @shaylee_usher during her family session. I was too busy berating her husband (yknow…nicely) 🙊*

But let’s get back to it - what does that even mean, to fill the space?

If you’re standing by someone - your partner, your child, your friend, whoever - and there’s space left between the two of you…fill it.

Yeah, you’re gonna be all up in each other’s business.

And it’s gonna be ADORABLE.

You might even find it enjoyable 👀

The second suggestion I give to my clients is to always be doing something with their hands.

BEFORE YOU PANIC - here’s what I mean:

While you’re filling that empty space, grab the hand of the person next to you. Play with your child’s hair. Wrap your arms around your partner. “Fix” your clothing. Run a hand through your hair. Just…keep those hands busy!

If you’ve ever asked yourself (or your photographer!), “but what should I do with my hands?” this tip will help calm those thoughts, too. Just (consensually 🤪) grab onto the person next to you. Bam. YA DID IT, GOLD STAR ⭐️

Not only do these tips keep your mind off of “what the hell am I supposed to be doing,” they also give you time with your family to just…feel the feels. To get close, without worrying about switching over the laundry or picking up the toys. To be present in the moment and allow yourself to enjoy being around those you love.

To make fun of your partner with your photographer. You know, the simple things in life 😆
