I hear you! Many of my clients' favorite photos are the "in-between" moments; the ones that happen often, but you don't get to see them because you're juggling approx. 1 million things and they happen so, so quickly.
&nbsp;
I want you to get to see these moments; your child gazing at you as if YOU PERSONALLY make the sun rise every morning, your partner laughing along with you, their eyes filled with adoration. Your children chasing each other, shrieking with laughter.
&nbsp;
You've worked too hard to raise your kids during this stage of life (because it IS hard! And you're killing it. I know these things, trust me) to not capture those moments forever.

FAMILY
The most beautiful, meaningful photos come from authentic moments. My family sessions are child-led and movement-based, meaning that your kiddos get to do whatever their heart desires (with the exception of anything that will cause them harm, of course!) and we are going to follow their lead. This approach not only makes the session more enjoyable for your entire family, but it also results in candid photos that capture your family's story &amp; connection (happy sob).

COUPLES
The goal of my couples' sessions is to document the genuine connection between you and your partner(s). I pose my couples more than I do with my families, but you can still expect a relaxed atmosphere where you can be yourselves. If you love the thrill of an adventure, let's go have a paint war or go splash around in Lake Murray! If a quiet evening in is more your speed, you might just fall in love with an in-home lifestyle couples session. The options are truly endless! No matter what kind of session you decide to schedule, I'll be there to document your bursts of laughter and the way you lovingly poke fun at each other.

BRANDING
Your brand is an extension of who you are, and your branding photos should reflect that. I will be working with you hand-in-hand to set up a branding photoshoot that both 1) feels authentic to you &amp; your brand and 2) will result in some kick-ass photos. Afterall, your branding images are one of the first things your potential clients or customers will see on your website - they should be badass in a way that's unique to you.

This quick + breezy session is perfect for couples who want beautiful photos, but don't always have the time, energy, or budget for a full session! ...Or for those of us who often have to drag our significant others to a photoshoot. This works great for them, too! 😉 During our 30 minutes together, I will be capturing how you and your partner(s) normally interact with each other. I'll throw in a few poses, but mostly I'm going to be prompting you with silly ideas and documenting the mayhem that comes out of that. You're welcome.

Couples Photo Session - 30 Min

Welcoming a baby into your life is like nothing else; it's beautiful, eye-opening, and maybe a little stressful. But most of all, it's pretty damn magical. This session is for you if you want to document this life-changing transition and your newest addition. After all, this is the smallest they'll ever be! *Insert my uterus sobbing here* I'll join you in your home (germ-free and masked-up, if you'd like!) to capture all of the little details you don't want to forget about your baby. These sessions are basically a giant snuggle fest! *I am fully vaccinated, including the COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters

Lifestyle Newborn Photo Session

You're looking for branding photos that reflect who you, and therefore your personality-infused small business, are. They should be professional, but not stuffy. Fun, but still positioning you as the expert in your line of business. I accept your challenge. LET'S GO. In all seriousness, the images on your website, social media, and any other marketing materials you may use are one the first - and I would argue, best - ways for potential clients to get to know you. Oh - did you just cringe, thinking of the current state of your branding photos? It's okay, we've all been there. Give yourself a gentle hug...and now go book yourself a branding session.

Here’s what I like to tell my clients:

When there’s a space, fill it.

*Ironically, I don’t believe I mentioned this to @shaylee_usher during her family session. I was too busy berating her husband (yknow…nicely) 🙊*

But let’s get back to it - what does that even mean, to fill the space?

If you’re standing by someone - your partner, your child, your friend, whoever - and there’s space left between the two of you…fill it.

Yeah, you’re gonna be all up in each other’s business.

And it’s gonna be ADORABLE.

You might even find it enjoyable 👀

The second suggestion I give to my clients is to always be doing something with their hands.

BEFORE YOU PANIC - here’s what I mean:

While you’re filling that empty space, grab the hand of the person next to you. Play with your child’s hair. Wrap your arms around your partner. “Fix” your clothing. Run a hand through your hair. Just…keep those hands busy!

If you’ve ever asked yourself (or your photographer!), “but what should I do with my hands?” this tip will help calm those thoughts, too. Just (consensually 🤪) grab onto the person next to you. Bam. YA DID IT, GOLD STAR ⭐️

Not only do these tips keep your mind off of “what the hell am I supposed to be doing,” they also give you time with your family to just…feel the feels. To get close, without worrying about switching over the laundry or picking up the toys. To be present in the moment and allow yourself to enjoy being around those you love.

To make fun of your partner with your photographer. You know, the simple things in life 😆
